Broking systemsIn the plan

We look after the software your business actually runs on.

Not just the laptops it runs on. The broking platform itself, the server underneath it, and the vendor relationship on top of it. One provider for all three, so you are never the one stuck in the middle deciding who is right.

The problem

Nobody wants to own it.

Your broking platform is the one application the business genuinely cannot operate without. It is also the one everybody treats as somebody else’s job.

Your IT provider will not touch it

They will patch Windows and reset passwords, then tell you the broking system is a vendor issue. Which is sometimes true and sometimes not, and working out which is now your job.

The vendor does not know your setup

You explain your environment from scratch to someone who has never seen it, then wait. Meanwhile the renewal that had to go out today has not gone out.

You end up the translator

Two suppliers, each certain it is the other one’s problem, and a broker in the middle relaying technical detail between them. Nobody is being difficult. There is just no one accountable.

What we do

The whole thing, end to end.

01Install, upgrade and patch

Across every workstation, on a schedule that avoids renewal season rather than landing in the middle of it.

02Run the infrastructure underneath

The server or hosting your platform sits on, built and maintained by us. On-premise, hosted or cloud, monitored 24x7x365.

03Deal with the vendor

We raise the ticket, we chase it, and we stay on the call. You get told what is happening rather than a reference number.

04Manage platform licences

Seats added and removed as people join and leave, handled with the vendor directly so you are not paying for staff who left in March.

05Migrate you between platforms

Off a legacy version, or from one system to another, without losing data. See below.

06Build integrations

Connecting your broking platform to the rest of your tools so data stops being rekeyed by hand.

07Train your team

Including every new starter, as part of onboarding, so nobody learns the system by guessing.

08Keep it compliant

Access controls, user reviews and the offboarding records your AFSL obligations depend on.

Platform migrations

Moving systems is where most brokerages lose a fortnight.

Being pushed off a legacy version, or moving to a platform that suits you better, is the single most disruptive thing that will happen to your business this year. It is also the thing a generalist IT provider has never done before.
  1. 01Audit what you have, including the things nobody documented
  2. 02Agree a cutover date that avoids renewal season
  3. 03Build and test the new environment in parallel
  4. 04Migrate data, then reconcile it against the old system
  5. 05Cut over, with the old system still available
  6. 06Train the team on the new platform

Being moved off a platform and not sure where to start?

How it is charged

Inside your monthly fee, not on top of it.

Included in managed services

Day-to-day platform support, patching, vendor liaison and licence management sit inside your fixed monthly fee. Unlimited support, no hourly charges.

Migrations are quoted separately

A migration is a project with a defined scope and an end date, so it is priced as one rather than absorbed into a monthly bill.

No after-hours surcharge

If the platform goes down at 9pm, it is answered at 9pm and billed at the same rate as 9am. Which is to say, nothing extra.

Common questions

What brokers ask us first.

Do you actually support the platform, or just log tickets with the vendor?
Both, and the distinction matters. We install it, upgrade it, patch it and run the infrastructure underneath it. Where something is genuinely the vendor’s to fix, we raise it and stay on it rather than handing you a reference number and wishing you luck.
We are on a platform you have not listed. Can you still help?
Almost certainly. The platforms above are the ones we see most often, but the work is the same shape whichever system you run. Tell us what you are on and we will be straight with you about how well we know it.
Our vendor says we need to upgrade. Do we?
Sometimes yes, sometimes it can wait a quarter. We will look at what you are running, what the upgrade actually changes and what it costs you to do it now versus later, then tell you honestly. We do not earn anything from you upgrading sooner.
How long does a migration take?
It depends on three things: how much data there is, how many offices are involved, and how quickly your outgoing vendor releases the data. That last one is the part nobody controls, so we ask for it on day one and keep asking. Step one is an audit of what you actually have, and you get a date range out of that rather than a guess before it. What we will commit to up front is the cutover date, planned around your calendar so it never lands in renewal season.
What happens during renewal season?
Nothing disruptive. We do not schedule upgrades, migrations or anything else optional into your busiest weeks. Knowing when those weeks are without being told is part of what you are paying for.
The rest of it

The other four services.

Stop being the go-between. Let’s talk.

Thirty minutes with someone who already knows your platform, and has probably already argued with your vendor about something.
